          <inserted>Since 3 December 2018 the Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People has met with the Minister for Child Protection a number of times, in their official capacities as commissioner and minister and at many functions they have attended.</inserted>

          <inserted>Since 3 December 2018 the Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People has not corresponded with the Minister for Child Protection about child protection or children in state care matters. The Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People does not have the powers to investigate individual child protection or children in state care cases.</inserted>
