The answer that was provided by my office was yes. They were asked if media were being invited and they were advised that the event was designed for students and the school community, as is not unusual around many of these occasions.</text>

The Leader of the Opposition was able to talk with families and the media at the school on the first day of school this year. It may be a mischaracterisation of the situation, but we assumed that the media event to open the school had been done enough.</text>
