          <inserted>The Minister for Health and Wellbeing wrote to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Health, Aged Care and Sport in October 2018 to provide feedback on the Aged Care Amendment (Staffing Ratio Disclosure) Bill, before the Commonwealth Parliament.</inserted>

          <inserted>In the letter to the chair, the Minister for Health and Wellbeing welcomed the intention of the bill to improve the quality of care for older Australians living in residential aged care, suggesting, however, some points for further consideration. These included consideration to be given to the proposed methodology for determining staff ratios, and clarity for the general public.</inserted>
