The minister has previously stated in relation to his business activities that he has 'basically divorced himself' from the day-to-day operations of all associated entities of Sausage Boys Pty Ltd. Under the Corporations Act 2001, section 1.5.5.3—Duties and liabilities of directors—the minister, as the current director and secretary of Sausage Boys Pty Ltd, has a legal requirement to 'act in the best interests of the company'. There is no record of a blind trust being registered by the minister.</text>
