In November 2017, Becker Helicopters received a grant for financial assistance from the Economic Investment Fund (EIF) of $3 million (GST exclusive) which comprised of $2.250 million from the EIF Defence Industry Attraction fund and $750,000 from the EIF Investment Attraction South Australia fund to establish a new operating base in Whyalla. 2.	Defence SA has carriage of the Becker Helicopters relocation project from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland to Whyalla, South Australia.
