            <inserted>(1)&amp;#x9;The Minister must cause a review of the operation of this Part to be conducted not before 18 months, and not later than 2 years, following the commencement of this Part.</inserted>

            <inserted>(2)&amp;#x9;The review must be completed, and a report on the results of the review provided to the Minister, within 3 years following the commencement of this Part.</inserted>

          <text continued="true" id="20181017862ded92cd544e8280000838">It is with pleasure that we receive the Fair Trading (Gift Cards) Amendment Bill 2018 with an amendment from the Legislative Council. Essentially, this is to provide for a review of this new type of legislation. It is pioneering in South Australia. We are happy to accept the amendment.</text>
          <text id="20181017862ded92cd544e8280000839">I am pleased to say that we have even had a letter of compliment from a federal minister because there has been some discussion at the national level to provide some harmonised law in relation to this area across the nation, but we got a bit impatient here—we wanted to get on with it. We are very pleased that this has occurred and we welcome the consideration, with the amendment, by those in the other place.</text>
