VAN HOLST PELLEKAAN:</by>  Following a meeting with Professor David, the Minister for Health and Wellbeing sought both further information from SA Health and an independent review of the Visiting Medical Specialists selection process. The Women's and Children's Health Network engaged a senior corporate services officer in the Department of Health and Wellbeing to review the process. Today, during question time, I was asked the question:</text>

        </text>
        <text continued="true" id="20180724df991f1c7b0a469d80001021">In my response, I stated that Professor David:</text>

          <inserted>…has had every opportunity to contribute to the review.</inserted>
        </text>
        <text continued="true" id="20180724df991f1c7b0a469d80001023">I have since been advised that while the review came about as a result of discussions between Professor David and the Minister for Health and Wellbeing, Professor David was not consulted as part of the review.</text>
