<by role="member" id="4847">Mr KNOLL:</by> I rise merely to say that I have no doubt that in tomorrow's paper there will be the government's fourth or fifth attempt to beat us up over this legislation. What I want to put on the record is that the government should open its mind and see a bit of common sense on this and realise that there are a number of amendments that we have put that the Legislative Council very wisely is insisting upon.</text>
<text id="20171116c07ac6cbd3f642e4b0001080">I want to put on the record the fact that we are open to working with the government to find a solution to this. There are important measures in this bill that need to be passed, especially in relation to the changes to the drug-testing regime for police on the street. I assume that we will disagree and the house will disagree and then we will end up in deadlock where we can work out a solution.</text>
