          <inserted>The Department for Education and Child Development's insurance arrangements with SAICORP do not include accidental injury cover for children participating in sporting events or competitions representing their school. Children are covered as part of their parent/guardian's private health insurance arrangements and/or Medicare. </inserted>

          <inserted>Parents are made aware of the insurance arrangements of the department when they provide their authorisation/permission for their child to participate in sporting activities. </inserted>
