Can the minister advise the house how many students were contacted? Was it the 2,500 as originally suggested? How many students fall into the second category who have severe issues over their competence units?</text>

CLOSE:</by>  The initial contact was a larger number of students, in the order of 2,500, or possibly even more, in order to make sure that all were captured. They of course will be informed if they are not involved. I didn't complete that sentence entirely, but the ones who are subject potentially to some remedial action will also be informed. As I said, I expect to have clarity on those numbers and also what the consequences are likely to be later this week.</text>
