          <inserted>South Australia Police (SAPOL) is responsible for the investigation and preparation of coronial reports concerning reportable deaths to the State Coroner under the <term>Coroners Act 2003</term>. Once the coronial report is provided to the State Coroner by SAPOL, the ownership of this file then transfers to the State Coroner. SAPOL does not retain any original document which forms part of the coronial file and is therefore not in possession of any information that would be made available to either the Public Trustee or Attorney-General.</inserted>
