BETTISON (Ramsay—Minister for Communities and Social Inclusion, Minister for Social Housing, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Ageing, Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Minister for Youth, Minister for Volunteers) (14:59):</by> You asked me that in estimates. I don't have an answer for you, but can I just talk to people about the situation. When people apply for a child-related screening—and nearly 260,000 South Australians have a child-related screening—we go through a very rigorous process. What that requires us to get is CrimTrac information, information from South Australia Police and other interstate police. That is a third party. Sometimes that takes time, but I diligently worked on turning around the time it takes, and it is at 96 per cent.</text>
