          <text continued="true" id="20170803aaa8bd986b8a4f92b0001085">This is in order to satisfy the member for Morialta, amongst others, that a genuine spirit of compromise has overtaken the government, which we are seeking in the context of the last bill to see reflected in the consideration of that important piece of work in the Legislative Council. Can I say to the rhetorical question, 'Do I agree to the proposal put forward by Mr McLachlan in the other place?', and I am not quoting a song, necessarily, but—I do, I do, I do.</text>

Andrew McLachlan, as we usually are, commends the government for bowing to the pressure applied by the Legislative Council, the extreme pressure exerted by the Hon. Mr McLachlan, who is an excellent member of the Legislative Council, and we will support the amendment that we put up.</text>
