The Department of Treasury and Finance advises that the preparation of program and sub-program information for the budget papers is an extensive process where each agency allocates its budget (including corporate overhead costs) over the various programs of the agency.</inserted>

          <inserted>The allocation process is undertaken at the agency level in a manner that best reflects the nature of the business operations of the agency. Whilst all agencies maintain a rolling 5 years of forward estimates, the estimates (including corporate overhead costs) are not allocated across programs beyond the current budget year.</inserted>

          <inserted>As a result, a breakdown of agency budgets in an Agency Statement format over each year of the forward estimates does not exist. Information would only exist for the 2016-17 budget year as well as the 2015-16 budget and estimated result and 2014-15 actual as published in agency statements.</inserted>
