          <inserted>1.&amp;#x9;The report was produced by the new Royal Adelaide Hospital project team and Central Adelaide Local Health Network to better understand the specifics of the requirements for each individual clinical trials unit.</inserted>

          <inserted>2.&amp;#x9;The report was requested as part of ongoing consultation with the staff group, consultation with this group has been ongoing as part of the planning for the new hospital. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>The new Royal Adelaide Hospital will continue to be a centre for excellence in medical research, with all current clinical trials at the RAH set to move to the new site or within the Health and Biomedical Precinct on North Terrace.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>Face to face patient consultations will continue to occur within the outpatient, inpatient or day treatment areas, as they do at the current RAH. The majority of researchers undertaking both existing clinical trials activity and new trials already being planned will be housed within the new RAH.</inserted>

          <inserted>Additionally, SAHMRI has agreed to house some cancer and cardiology researchers, whose work aligns with the existing SAHMRI research pillars, further strengthening the clinical and research partnership. </inserted>

          <inserted>This follows substantial planning discussions with research and administration staff about the requirements for their particular trials and the suitability of the new hospital.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>Having all our current clinical trials based in the heart of the Health and Biomedical Precinct, with the majority at the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, is an excellent outcome.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>These important trials will deliver potentially lifesaving medical breakthroughs for many years to come.</inserted>
