It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it continues to assess, triage and treat all patients presenting to the Emergency Department. </inserted>

          <inserted>The number of Safety Learning System notifications (SLS) varies according to many factors including overall activity, patient acuity, types of patients presenting and their presenting problem.</inserted>

          <inserted>The number of SLS reports made about the Modbury Hospital Emergency Department has remained fairly stable. There was only one extra SLS report for the first six months of 2016 compared to last year (104 to 103 respectively).</inserted>
