KOUTSANTONIS (West Torrens—Treasurer, Minister for Finance, Minister for State Development, Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy) (14:57):</by> Defeats have many parents, not just orphans. Victories also have many parents. I am happy to share in the support for our plan from Danny Price, from the Australian Energy Market Commission, from BHP Billiton to leading experts including, as I just quoted, the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, who I thank again for her endorsement of our well considered plan.</text>
<text id="201703284d4491644524448e80000546">Danny Price is someone who has fought long and hard for a market mechanism. This government has argued for an intensity scheme. This government wants less reliance on Victorian interconnection. This government wants more gas, more sun and more wind so we have locally generated South Australian energy so we can take control of our own future. What we don't want is to be reliant on the eastern seaboard for our energy needs, which is obviously the plan the opposition has for the state.</text>
