Z.L. BETTISON (Ramsay—Minister for Communities and Social Inclusion, Minister for Social Housing, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Ageing, Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Minister for Youth, Minister for Volunteers): I have been advised: In 2015-16, Community Benefit SA funded a total of 211 projects. Of these, 18 projects received a low evaluation rating (1 or 2) at completion of the project. Under the rating system, projects may receive a low evaluation rating if they report: a lower number of participants than planned the needs of disadvantaged people were met to a limited degree a lower than anticipated number of people benefiting than anticipated the implementation of the project was only partially achieved insufficient information to enable the department to determine if funds were spent in accordance with their service agreements. There are some instances where organisations receive a low rating due to reports being received late or, in some instances, not provided at all. In such cases, organisations are contacted by the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) and outstanding reports requested. DCSI does not publically release the names of organisations that received a low rating for projects funded by Community Benefit SA.
