MALINAUSKAS (Minister for Police, Minister for Correctional Services, Minister for Emergency Services, Minister for Road Safety): I am advised: The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service's (MFS) employment conditions are pursuant to the Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005. Accordingly, section 56 of the Public Sector Act 2009 does not apply to the MFS and therefore is not relied upon. The Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005 does not contain a provision to direct employees for independent medical assessments.
