CLOSE:</by>  While the other reports that have been referenced in those lively interjections have been public reports into the system of child protection in its various guises, the Hyde review was in essence an internal investigation of the recruitment practices of the department. The recommendations made by Mr Hyde were acted on and, as Margaret Nyland noted in her report where she deals with this matter, she supports the recruitment processes which we have in place this year. It is most important that we have recruitment processes that the royal commission endorses.</text>
