          <inserted>1.&amp;#x9;The Department for State Development has primary responsibility for employment, including youth unemployment, in South Australia.</inserted>

          <inserted>In December 2014, the Commonwealth Government de-funded <term>Youth Connections,</term> which supported hundreds of South Australia's most vulnerable young people aged 13-19 to re-engage in education or transition to training and employment.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>In response to the Commonwealth Government's cuts to services delivered through Youth Connections, the South Australian Government (through the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion) worked collaboratively with youth services in South Australia to develop Successful Transitions as part of the 2015 Youth Strategy, It Starts with YOUth.</inserted>

          <inserted>Successful Transitions supports highly disengaged and 'at risk' young people in five strategic regions based on disadvantage and/or regional isolation. The program is delivered in Northern Adelaide, Southern Adelaide, Mt Barker/Murray Bridge, Limestone Coast and Port Pirie/Port Augusta/Peterborough Mid North region.</inserted>

          <inserted>The strength of the program is the ability of community organisations to deliver flexible, intensive support with an emphasis on building mentoring relationships between youth workers and participants.</inserted>
