Can the minister advise the house what became of the negotiations that commenced with the Transport Workers Union and the Adelaide metropolitan bus companies in October 2013? In 2013 the Premier put out a media release entitled 'Safety blitz on public transport'. The release said, and I quote:</text>

          <inserted>…the Government will also begin discussions with the three private bus contractors and the Transport Workers Union about whether safety screens for bus drivers should be introduced.</inserted>

        <text continued="true" id="201602230565c08c5512404390000508">A recent survey returned to the Transport Workers Union identified that 80 per cent of drivers surveyed felt threatened by the behaviour of passengers on their buses.</text>

His question was: can I update the house on discussions which occurred between the bus companies and the union? I don't have direct information to that; but he then went on to explain that he was interested in whether security screens have been rolled out for bus drivers in buses, and I can confirm, Mr Speaker, that that is underway.</text>
