          <by role="member" id="1812">The Hon. J.W. WEATHERILL (Cheltenham—Premier) (14:39):</by>  I don't know the answer to that question; that would be a matter for TAFE if they were to do that. The guiding principles that we have established from a state government perspective for TAFE are that it should be focused on quality and accessibility, which is highly relevant to country areas such as the one you mentioned.</text>
        <text id="20150730f40ba742b531481680000398">Any changes that do take place in country regions should have regard to the ability to enhance rather than detract from accessibility to TAFE services and, of course, relevance—the link between the training and making sure somebody gets a job. That's the essence of our WorkReady reforms. TAFE has to live within the envelope of funding that it now has to carry out its activities. It has an independent board which, together with its chief executive, makes those decisions.</text>
