I recently received cabinet approval to progress the drafting of a youth justice administration bill. This bill will better reflect the current practice and make the administration effective and accountable for enhancing community safety in the delivery of our youth justice services.</text>

As I am advised, a significant consultation was undertaken to inform him of the context and objectives of the proposed legislation.
