I know that the report was laid on the table yesterday and, under the act, the committee is required to inquire into, consider and place a report within three years of the introduction of the act. Its response was part of the legislation that was required. The committee's report noted that the sentencing of young offenders is undertaken according to the Young Offenders Act 1993, which falls within the responsibility of the Attorney-General. However, the report highlights the different legislative provisions under the administration of our youth justice system, as undertaken. I can advise the house that it is my intention to draft new legislation which captures these different legislative provisions in a new youth justice administration bill.
