The Local Government (Governance) Amendment Bill passed through parliament on 28 October with one part of the act dealing with the oath of office for members who are elected.</text>

Why has it been necessary for the Local Government Association in three circulars to talk about if members are making the undertaking prior to gazettal of the new regulations they use the current wording?</text>
