WEATHERILL (Cheltenham—Premier) (14:19):</by> My recollection is that the APY lands executive, which is an autonomous body—it is not a state government-run body: it is set up pursuant to statute, I think, under the APY lands act—has the capacity to engage or dismiss the general manager. My recollection, and I stand to be corrected, is that there is some role that the government plays in providing approval or otherwise. Certainly we are involved in terms of funding, so I would have imagined that we would have been involved in some way in this matter, but whatever the answer to that question is I know that the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs is deeply engaged in these issues and I am happy to bring back a report to the house.</text>
