Given that the Attorney-General and the minister have said that some of the $47 million can be salvaged from this write-off, can the minister tell the house how much can be salvaged to reduce the $152 million bill to finally complete the Gawler project?</text>

MULLIGHAN (Lee—Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Minister Assisting the Minister for Planning, Minister Assisting the Minister for Housing and Urban Development) (14:56):</by>  To be up-front, I am not sure that we have an accurate estimate until such time as we get to the point where we have successfully tendered and contracted and commenced the works.</text>
        <text id="20141015e7422285deac4762a0000625">My advice is that items such as the masts which have been manufactured, the earthworks, the track lowering, the earthing and bonding costs, the service relocations, field services, other works to the tracks, as well as some of the operating costs which went into some of the early design and scoping works, some of those works will potentially be able to be attributed to the final delivery of the project.</text>
        <text id="20141015e7422285deac4762a0000626">My further advice is that when these works are undertaken, as in the delivery of the projects, those elements which have been written off for the purposes of the current Auditor-General's Annual Report, these items would be revisited and an assessment made based on the ability to incorporate these works and those costs into the final delivery of the project.</text>
