Has the government had meetings with private sector advisers advising that the Motor Accident Commission could have up to $500 million in excess capital available to government? The Hon. A. KOUTSANTONIS (West Torrens—Treasurer, Minister for Finance, Minister for State Development, Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy, Minister for Small Business) (14:18): Whenever the Motor Accident Commission feel that they need to provide any excess capital to the government, they have approached government and made offerings to government. I am not going to pre-empt anything that may or may not be in the budget about any excess capital within the Motor Accident Commission. I also point out to those interested parties about logs in each others eyes, that perhaps the member for Davenport had done some work before the election in meeting some other private sector organisations about the potential of the Motor Accident Commission and is simply on a fishing exercise to see if the government will adopt the same things he had planned for the Motor Accident Commission had we had the misfortune of him being the treasurer of South Australia. I have said it once and I have said it many times: the government will not enter into speculation about what is or is not in the budget. I will be in here on budget day, and I will tell you everything.
