        <text id="201210169194950d5c6c4726b0000884">1.&amp;#x9;The total budget for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 2012-13 is $268.8 million, excluding corporate overhead budgets relating to the Central Adelaide Local Health Network.</text>
        <text id="201210169194950d5c6c4726b0000885">The annual maintenance costs for 2012-13 (excluding utilities such as electricity, gas and other fuels) are $5.675 million.</text>
        <text id="201210169194950d5c6c4726b0000886">2.&amp;#x9;The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has a total of 304 beds (average available beds in 2011-12—preliminary), spread across the functions of medical, mental health and surgery.</text>
        <text id="201210169194950d5c6c4726b0000887">3.&amp;#x9;As at June 2012, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital had 2,383 employees (1971.6 FTE).</text>
        <text id="201210169194950d5c6c4726b0000888">4.&amp;#x9;There were a total of 41,943 emergency department presentations at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 2011-12. The forecast for 2012-13 is 43,600 presentations, calculated by applying the annual growth rate over the past three years to the 2011-12 result. The accuracy of emergency department presentation forecasts is impacted by many variables, including the unpredictability of seasonal illnesses such as influenza.</text>
