The Hon. G. PORTOLESI House of Assembly Hartley Minister for Education and Child Development EDUCATION AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT BUDGET The Hon. G. PORTOLESI (Hartley—Minister for Education and Child Development): The 2010-11 budget included an additional $203.4 million in total operating expenditure above that in the 2009-10 budget. This increase resulted in the Department's total operating expenditure budget for 2010-11 being $2.533 billion. The $203.4 million additional operating expense budget can be broken down from a budgetary perspective into an increase for: Employee benefits expenses $126.1m Supplies and services $49.1m Other costs $28.2m
