Is the government planning to take around $4 million per year from the Construction Industry Training Fund into the department, and if so, why? Also, does the Construction Industry Training Board support the use of the levy in that way?</text>

KENYON (Newland—Minister for Employment, Higher Education and Skills, Minister for Science and Information Economy, Minister for Recreation and Sport) (15:02):</by>  As part of the 2010-11 state budget, there was a requirement on the Construction Industry Training Board to make some savings—$3 million in the next financial year (2012-13), and from 2013-14 it will be $4.5 million.  We are negotiating with the construction industry board about how to do that. Those negotiations are ongoing, and when we have a resolution I will be happy to inform the house and the member.</text>
