          <by role="member" id="1810">The Hon. J.R. RAU (Enfield—Deputy Premier, Attorney-General, Minister for Planning, Minister for Business Services and Consumers):</by>  I have instructed the Attorney-General's Department to begin a full investigation of how such licences are processed within Consumer and Business Services (CBS).</text>
        <text id="201205159a3a7e924eb04cd5b0000399">A specialist team will commence reviewing the process and methodology used in CBS when assessing trades licences, in the week beginning 5 March, 2012. This team will include independent expertise in process workflows and senior government employees specialising in Information Technology systems and administrative practices.</text>
        <text id="201205159a3a7e924eb04cd5b0000400">This team will report their findings to my Office.</text>
        <text id="201205159a3a7e924eb04cd5b0000401">All reasonable measures that need to be adopted to reduce processing times and improve efficiency will be undertaken immediately following the review.</text>
