Has the minister received any evidence regarding fatalities that have occurred on our country roads where speed limits are currently 110 km/h which indicates that those fatalities would not have occurred if the speed limit on those roads had been 100 km/h? If so, will the minister provide the evidence to the house?</text>

KENYON (Newland—Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing, Minister for Road Safety, Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Minister Assisting the Premier with South Australia's Strategic Plan, Minister Assisting the Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education) (15:13): </by> I am very happy to take this question because the clear evidence in this state since 2003 is that where we have reduced the speed from 110 to 100 on country roads there has been about a 20 per cent drop in serious and fatal injuries on those roads. I am happy to bring that back to the member for Kavel and anyone else who is interested to see it.</text>
        <text id="20111020cfd4787e319040b980000838">There is indisputable evidence from South Australia, Australia and around the world that if you reduce speed limits on roads you reduce the road toll. In 2003 when the former minister for transport, the member for Lee, reduced—very bravely, I might add—</text>
