CAICA:</by>  —the radio—procedures that were meant to be undertaken by the EPA that were not undertaken and the local members were not notified, I would look into that. The nature of the question said, 'Why weren't the local members advised of the contamination?' I would also say that there is no contamination and there was no contamination.</text>

I will finish off by saying this: if indeed there was, as the opposition is asserting, clear and present danger relating to that contamination, why did they sit on their FOI application for 13 days? Why wouldn't they, as a matter of course, have either raised it directly with me or, indeed, issued their press release that day.</text>
        <text id="20110726e8c403296483433480000671">As I said, if there are some shortcomings with respect to the notifications that were not received by local members, I am going to look into that and make sure the EPA rectifies that. I would again reinforce the point: there was no contamination, there is no contamination and the opposition is being irresponsible and reckless.</text>
