The government has overseen cost overruns for the Northern Expressway from $300 million to $564 million; the Port River Expressway from $138 million to $175 million; The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Stage 2 Redevelopment from $42 million—this is a ripper—to $127 million; the Royal Adelaide Hospital, of course, famously from $1.7 billion to $2.73 billion; the Port River Bridge from $136 million to $178 million; the Techport precinct— Members interjecting: The Speaker House of Assembly The SPEAKER: Order! Mrs REDMOND House of Assembly Mrs REDMOND: —from $140 million to $257 million; the desalination plant from $1.1 billion to $1.8 billion; and, to join that up, the North-South Interconnector project from $304 million to $403 million—just got the figures around the wrong way.
