How is South Australia's 40 per cent decline in history students for year 12 in 2011, the first year of the new SACE, consistent with history being part of the soon-to-be implemented national curriculum?</text>

That material certainly has not been brought to my attention, and we will review that when we receive it. I must say there is a lack of logic in the connection with the national curriculum. The national curriculum provides for the content of the national curriculum and, when it is taught, that will be the curriculum that is taught.</text>
