Does the Deputy Premier now understand the reasons behind the voter backlash received by his government at the 2010 state election? On 16 February 2011, the Deputy Premier responded to a question in the media about the reasons for the voter backlash by saying:</text>

          <inserted>The message I got was that for whatever reason, people were not happy in my electorate and others...I don't think anybody knows the answer to that question...Obviously they weren't happy...This is like asking me to be a mind-reader.</inserted>
