MAYWALD (Chaffey—Minister for the River Murray, Minister for Water Security):</by>  I am advised that the Government already has in place approval measures to allow for the installation of onsite aerobic treatment systems for domestic wastewater for new and existing households.</text>
        <text id="2009101348f9d5bcf07b49d6a0000479">The approval of the Department of Health (for non standard systems) or local government (for pre approved systems) is required for the installation of onsite treatment systems, and in sewered areas the approval of SA Water is also required.</text>
        <text id="2009101348f9d5bcf07b49d6a0000480">The Department of Health has standard guidelines (Waste Control Systems—Standard For The Construction, Installation &amp; operation of Septic Tank Systems in SA—Supplement B: Aerobic Wastewater Treatment System), which are applicable to individual onsite aerobic treatment systems.</text>
        <text id="2009101348f9d5bcf07b49d6a0000481">At this stage, no rebates apply for onsite recycling systems.</text>
