        <text id="200906163d1fef3e6ac34d6f90000300">In 2007-08 State Government recurrent funding to NRM boards was $3.668 million. An additional once only amount of $927,000 was allocated for that year from the state component of the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality (NAP). NAP funding was directed to those NRM regions qualifying under NAP criteria. In 2008-09 the allocation of state recurrent funds to regional NRM boards is $3.742 million.</text>
        <text id="200906163d1fef3e6ac34d6f90000301">For 2008-09, the allocation of State Government recurrent funding for distribution to NRM boards has been guided by a series of principles that were developed by the NRM Council in conjunction with the regional NRM boards. These principles are based on the relative capacity of each NRM Board to access funds to deliver regional NRM activities including the necessary administration of the NRM Act.</text>
