I take this opportunity to thank the members of the committee for the manner in which they dealt with this issue through the select committee process. I thank the secretary of the committee for the way in which he was able to pull this together very quickly for us so that we could get the bill through the house in a fashion that will ensure that the legislation will be passed as soon as possible. Mr PEDERICK House of Assembly Hammond Mr PEDERICK (Hammond) (17:46): I, too, acknowledge the speedy work of the committee and the work of the secretary of the committee. As far as we on this side of the house were concerned this bill did not need to be held up for any particular reason. Obviously, it needed to go through in order for people to access exit grants, and also for the trading of water, and to fit in with federal legislation. I do commend the work of the select committee.
