WEATHERILL (Cheltenham—Minister for Environment and Conservation, Minister for Early Childhood Development, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, Minister Assisting the Premier in Cabinet Business and Public Sector Management):</by>  I am advised that:</text>
        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000508">The Commonwealth Government provided $2.2 million in 2004 to build a substance misuse facility for the APY Lands.</text>
        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000509">Tenders were called for the main facility and following appraisal the contract was let to Murray River North on 18 January 2007.</text>

        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000510">The main facility was completed in November 2007 and has been occupied by Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA) since that time to provide drug and alcohol services on the lands.</text>
        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000511">In mid 2007 and again in March 2008 the scope of the project was expanded to provide further services for Anangu.</text>
        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000512">Additional funding was provided by the Commonwealth in June 2007 to construct an activity shed to provide diversionary activities on the lands. The SA Government also contributed additional funding to enable the construction of associated family accommodation and site works.</text>
        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000513">The delivery and installation of the additional works are also being undertaken by Murray River North.</text>
        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000514">It is anticipated all work will soon be completed.</text>
        <text id="20090217cc5df74daf26468890000515">DTEI Building Management will provide a final sign off on the project once the activity shed is complete.</text>
