To date, how many South Australians have received the government's first home buyers grant that was announced as part of this year's budget? On 23 September, the Real Estate Institute stated that first home ownership has declined by 30 per cent in the past five years and that fewer than half of Adelaide's suburbs have the medium sales price eligible for the government's first home owners grant.</text>

FOLEY (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Treasurer, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Federal/State Relations) (14:59): </by> Where has this opposition been today? Where have they been? The Prime Minister has just announced the doubling of the first home owners grant from $7,000 to $14,000, and if you are building a new home, he is going to treble it to $21,000. Put in our $3,000 and you have nearly $25,000. Where have you been? The opposition is neither up to date on where we are in terms of the economy, nor is it listening to the information the government is giving.</text>
