<by role="member" id="539">The Hon. S.W. KEY:</by> Yesterday, in grievances, I was discussing the ongoing campaign for paid maternity leave for Australian women workers. I referred to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Maternity Protection Convention 183, including article 10: Breastfeeding Mothers. Article 10 provides:</text>
<text id="20080924d04c95345a2748f990000573">
<inserted>1.	A woman shall be provided with the right to one or more daily breaks or daily reduction of hours of work to breastfeed her child.</inserted>
</text>
<text id="20080924d04c95345a2748f990000574">
<inserted>2.	The period during nursing breaks or the reduction of daily hours of work are allowed. The number and duration of nursing breaks and the procedure for the reduction of daily hours shall be determined by national law and practice. These breaks or the reduction of daily hours of work shall be counted as working time and remunerated accordingly.</inserted>
</text>
<text continued="true" id="20080924d04c95345a2748f990000575">As has been pointed out to me, this article does not specify the right to express milk along with breastfeeding, as I said yesterday. I apologise to the house for mixing up the claim for reasonable and practical provisions to assist working parents, particularly mothers, with the specifics of the ILO article.</text>
