M.D. RANN (Ramsay—Premier, Minister for Economic Development, Minister for Social Inclusion, Minister for the Arts, Minister for Sustainability and Climate Change):</by>  The Department of Trade and Economic Development has advised the following:</text>
        <text id="20080605c7b04f55a2d147eb80000315">(a)&amp;#x9;No funding was allocated to the Business and Parliamentary Trust in 2005-2006. $25,000 was allocated to the Business and Parliamentary Trust in 2006-2007. </text>
        <text id="20080605c7b04f55a2d147eb80000316">(b)&amp;#x9;A board of management has been established to govern the Trust. This is chaired by two co-chairs: one representing the business community and the other the parliamentary community.</text>
        <text id="20080605c7b04f55a2d147eb80000317">Mr Mike Terlet, AO is co-chair along with the Speaker of the House, Mr Jack Snelling. Dr Bob Such was initially appointed as a co-chair. He retired from this position on the Board when he was replaced as the Speaker by Mr Jack Snelling. </text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">a program for business leaders to attend parliament house for a day to meet with politicians from both sides of politics.</item>
        </text>
        <text id="20080605c7b04f55a2d147eb80000329">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">a program whereby parliamentarians spend a day in a business learning about the drivers for business. </item>
        </text>
        <text id="20080605c7b04f55a2d147eb80000330">The program for parliamentarians to spend a day in a business has not yet taken place but is scheduled to occur later this year.</text>
