3.	The number of DFEEST Full Time Equivalents (FTEs) surplus to requirements at 30 June 2010 was 66.4 at a total cost of approximately $4.4 million. Of these, around 34 FTEs were in funded positions either within DFEEST or other agencies.

The Road Safety function is part of the Department of Transport, Energy and Infrastructure (DTEI). The Minister for Transport will provide a response for the whole of DTEI.
