MAYWALD (Chaffey—Minister for the River Murray, Minister for Water Security):</by>  The Adelaide Plains Water Supply Study is a project to investigate the use of groundwater as an alternative supplementary water source for Adelaide. Preliminary findings from the study indicated there is potential for approximately 10 GL per annum.</text>
        <text id="200907030f73e58e63ac408cb0000209">The next stage of the project will comprise detailed design, construction, and operation of a pilot system to assess the feasibility of treating T1 and T2 aquifer water for possible blending into mains supply.</text>
        <text id="200907030f73e58e63ac408cb0000210">SA Water's investigations to date include groundwater quality measurements, well location survey, and preliminary concept design work has already been undertaken.</text>
