KENYON (Newland—Minister for Employment, Higher Education and Skills, Minister for Science and Information Economy, Minister for Recreation and Sport):</by>  The payroll tax exemption for wages paid to apprentices and trainees was in place for the period 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2012.</text>
        <text id="201211302872929a741c4012b0000259">Information obtained from RevenueSA suggests that in 2010-11 approximately 1,750 registered taxpayers' recorded trainee and apprentice wages in their annual payroll tax reconciliations. Information about the 2011-12 year will not be available until after the completion of the annual reconciliation process towards late 2012.</text>
