KENYON (Newland—Minister for Employment, Higher Education and Skills, Minister for Science and Information Economy, Minister for Recreation and Sport):</by>  The Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology's (DFEEST) flexi-time arrangements are managed so as to be cost neutral. There is a provision in the Wages Parity Enterprise Agreement to pay out flexitime under Section 19.2:</text>

          <inserted>where an employee has been permitted to accrue TOIL or such flexi-time in excess of 10 days, the employee may apply to the employer to convert such TOIL or flexi-time into payment at their ordinary rate.</inserted>
        </text>
        <text continued="true" id="201211303999fc7910e44713a0000166">Only one such payment has been made in DFEEST since the introduction of such payments in the most recent Wages Parity Enterprise Agreement. Managers monitor flexi-time through a timesheet process and negotiations occur to ensure that flexitime is taken within the limits of each agreement.</text>
