Ms PORTOLESI House of Assembly Hartley Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation Minister for Multicultural Affairs Minister for Youth Minister for Volunteers ABORIGINAL COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE FUNDING Ms PORTOLESI (Hartley—Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Minister for Youth, Minister for Volunteers): Dr McFetridge made reference to Aboriginal community assistance funding being reduced from $4.2 million to $1.8 million (Hansard Estimates Committee A, page 290). Aboriginal community assistance is a Grants and Subsidies budget line title in the Auditor-General's report that is a consolidation of all grants and subsidies across the portfolios within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), which includes Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation Division (AARD) grants. Rather than being an AARD program that has been reduced, it is a budget line description in the Auditor-General's report that captures a range of specific grants across DPC.
